25th Anniversary ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run
On the Run for Scholarship Funds
The 25th anniversary ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run will take place on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012. The event raises scholarship funds for Texas youth by supporting the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ (HLSR) Educational Fund. Over the past 25 years, the ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run has raised more than $2.9 million for the Educational Fund helping make students’ college dreams a reality. Last year, the event raised $360,000 for the HLSR Educational Fund. This year, we expect to break records with our goal of 15,000 Rodeo Run participants at the 25th annual Rodeo Run.
As Houston’s only point-to-point 10K race and 5K fun run/walk, the Rodeo Run is known all around the Southern region for its fun and festive atmosphere, complete with costume contests and a Texas-size post-race party. Runners and walkers will experience plenty of Texas hoopla along the racecourse as they lead off the HLSR Parade in downtown Houston.
